are you at one with the machine?

we live in an era, unfortunately, where the price of everything is skyrocketing and the quality of life is diminishing. oil companies and banks are making profits we can't see the value of, and presidents are asked to provide birth certificates simply because of their obvious ethnicity. while all this is going on, most of us struggle with the day to day costs of simply living on this planet--paying exorborant amounts of money to cable companies to watch advertising while both parents have to work because one half just can't provide enough anymore. inflation is through the roof while governments throw tiny increases to minimum wage.

this project is a multimedia protest.

it asks you the question: what is "the machine"? how do you feel you exist within it? do you resist it, and if so, how? how does it make you feel?

every time we walk through our front doors, we accept complicity with this machine in order to function day to day. any attempt to personally stray from the normal cause-and-effect of things, and you are labeled eccentric. weird. just go with the flow.

alternate thinking is assimilated daily and repackaged so that we can feel like we're on the outside of things.
